RealPeopleLA or RPLA is a management company, whose goal is to provide
"real people", which is to say non actor, working professionals, with opportunities to audition for commercial television. Often times in commercials, commercial clients, and or directors are looking for a person with a specific knowledge of their field that only a "real
person" would be able to comprehend and manufacture. RealPeopleLA or
RPLA prides itself on finding the types of "Real People" that the commercial casting world is looking for.
Not only do RealPeopleLA clients need to be great at their jobs and or amazing in their specialty, but they also need to fit a specific commercial profile, a
certain special something, that casting agents and directors know when
they see it. Owner Benjamin Friedman, with his extensive knowledge of the commercial world, is highly qualified to produce the clientele necessary for a successful audition process and a successful experience for clients and directors on set.
Session director
Benjamin is sought after by Casting Directors to help them run the audition
process. This entails, understanding the directors treatment and vision
and conceptualizing the written script by bringing the scenario to life
in a studio. This process is partially directing actors and non actors
(real people) to correctly perform the material given as well as to
help them expand on the possibilities not yet actualized.
As a Session Director, Benjamin has spent a great deal of time working closely with commercial Directors, Producers and Ad Agencies and has walked away with significant knowledge of the entire casting process top to bottom and what is required of a person, "real" or actor to have a chance to successfully attain a job working as a on camera entity in commercials.
